About
I am a self-taught photographer specializing in film, and more recently digital photography, with a focus on documentary and street photography. Originally from Albany, Georgia, I have been based in the Lincoln Park community of San Diego for ten years. My work represents everyday moments with an emphasis on composition, movement, and feeling using both traditional film techniques and modern digital processes to create visual narratives.
Working primarily with 35mm and medium format film, I develop my own film at home, allowing for a hands-on approach that deepens my connection to the photographic process. Whether making photos on the streets or documenting intimate spaces, I seek to highlight the beauty in overlooked moments, balancing spontaneity with intentional framing.
Photography, for me, is a practice of observation and preservation. Through my work, I aim to create images that not only document, but also evoke emotion and a sense of place.
